A Barrie police constable has been charged with two counts of fraud, and one count of possession of proceeds of crime.
A news release says the constable has been absent from active duty since November of 2018, and allegations about off duty activity were brought forward last fall.
Police say the professional standards unit completed an investigation into the allegations that occurred between November 2018 and March 2020.
Constable Nicole Hankin, a 13-year member of the Barrie Police Service has been suspended from duty with pay.
