The Province’s new colour-coded Covid-19 alert system will see the Nation’s capital move to Orange-Restrict level tomorrow (Sat, Nov. 7th).
York Region will also join Ottawa, while eastern Ontario moves to the Yellow-Protect level.
Premier Doug Ford says the situation in Peel is concerning and that region will move to the Red-Control level.
“We need to get this virus under control in Peel,” said Ford. “The region is averaging 103 cases per 100,000. The per cent positivity in daily cases is growing. Hospital capacity is under pressure as we bring in reinforcements to support case and contact management.”
All other regions will move into either Yellow protect or Green prevent.
Local regions Simcoe-Muskoka and Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph will be in Yellow-Protect and Grey Bruce will be in Green-Prevent.
