Ontario’s minimum wage rate is going up today.
The increase affects not only the general minimum wage rate, but also the alternative minimum wage rates that apply in Ontario.
Starting today, the general minimum wage will go up a quarter to $14.25 an hour, while the liquor servers wage will rise 25 cents to 12.45 an hour.
The wage increase is tied to the Ontario Consumer Price Index for 2020.
