The Amber Alert has yet again proven why it is effective in locating missing children.
A six year old boy who was allegedly abducted by his father in St Catharines yesterday, was located less than an hour after an alert for him was issued by Niagara Regional Police.
Police say the suspect surrendered himself to officers and was arrested without incident, while the child was safe and uninjured.
A 44 year old Hamilton man is now charged with abduction and due to appear in court today.
