An Oro-Medonte man faces nine charges after he led police on a wild chase from Barrie.
The 37-year-old faces five counts of assaulting an officer, intent to resist arrest, possession of a dangerous weapon and other charges after he hit eight vehicles in a white van he was driving.
He also injured a Barrie Police officer's hand in the chaos on Friday, when officers finally stopped him near OPP headquarters in Orillia.
Police started the pursuit after identifying the vehicle in connection with a gas theft in Gasoline Alley.
