Ann-Marie Kungl has won Barrie’s by-election for the vacant Ward 3 seat.
The results, which still need to be certified, were released by the City of Barrie last night.
It says out of 8 candidates running for the position, Kungl received 542 votes (representing 29.4 per cent of the vote).
The byelection was triggered by the resignation of Doug Shipley, who was elected the Conservative MP for Barrie-Springwater-Oro-Medonte during the 2019 federal election.
