Talks are resuming today between the province and the union representing Ontario’s English Catholic teachers.
As a result, strikes announced this week have been put on hold, including one that would have affected the Simcoe-Muskoka Catholic School Board on Thursday.
However, secondary school teachers (OSSTF) are planning a strike in more than dozen school boards this coming Friday, including Bluewater, but none in Simcoe County nor Muskoka.
The Elementary Teachers Federation is expected to announce its latest job action and rotating strikes later today.
All four major teachers unions across the province walked off the job on Friday in solidarity against the government's cuts to education.
