Almost all schools across the province are going to be closed today for a one-day walkout by four of the largest teachers unions.
They include public elementary, high school, english catholic and french-language schools.
As a result, all SCDSB schools and adult learning centres will be closed Friday, Feb. 21.
Before and after school programs in our buildings will not operate.
All out-of-school activities will also be cancelled.
All SMCDSB elementary and secondary schools will also be closed on Friday, February 21.
All Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB) elementary and secondary schools will be closed to students on Friday, February 21.
Daycares, before and after school programs, and community use of school after-hours programs, are not affected by the strike.
There is financial support available to parents of eligible children for each day of school that is missed due to labour disruptions.
Parents and guardians are asked to visit the Ministry of Education website or call the dedicated Support for Parents Helpline at 888-444-3770.
