A new movie is being filmed in downtown Orillia and plenty of local extras are needed!
“Cup Of Cheer” is a parody of cheesy Hallmark Christmas movies, co-written by Andy Lewis and Jake Horowitz.
The movie is currently being filmed in several locations around the city, including: Bakes By The Lake, Hog N Penny, Fern Resort, Orillia Public Library and Eclectic Cafe, among others.
This Saturday, February 15, a ton of extras are needed for a community scene.
No experience is necessary and everyone is welcome.
Please email info@orilliafilm.com for all the details.
Horowitz shot the movie “Who You Know” in Orillia last year, which will be available on Crave in March.
After filming wraps up on “Cup Of Cheer” on February 20, Horowitz and Lewis will be pitching the film at the Berlin Film Festival.
They hope to screen the movie in Orillia by Christmas 2020.
