It's rare when the government gives away money that some people want to give it back, but that's exactly what is happening as the teacher strikes continue across the province.
The provincial government announced last week that it will give parents whose children are affected by the striking teachers up to $60 per day as compensation.
The government said 139,000 people had applied as of Monday.
However, some parents say they will be donating the government subsidy they receive back to teachers and into the education system.
One parent has started an online petition calling for the Ford government to, “Take my bribe money and put it back in education!”
So far, it has received over 25-thousand signatures.
