A local dog rescue organization is looking for volunteers who have plans to fly from Winnipeg to Toronto, or drive from Toronto to Barrie.
The Lost Boys Hope Dog Rescue helps stray dogs from Northern Manitoba find their forever homes in Barrie.
The agency takes care of all the costs associated with the animals.
It is currently looking for someone to help with an airport run of three kennels this Thursday at 9:30pm from Toronto to Barrie.
The organization says a very large arrival of dogs will be coming in this week, including more than 40 puppies and dogs from Northern Manitoba, who would have otherwise frozen in the harsh winter elements.
It is also holding a “Meet and Greet” with eligible pets at Pet Valu (531 Bayfield St.) on Sunday, Jan. 26 from 11am-1pm.
