A 5-year-old kindergarten student in Bradford had to get a few staples in his head, after a man with a curtain rod allegedly started attacking kids at recess.
Police say on Wednesday afternoon, a 30-year-old man wearing a helmet scaled the fence to the schoolyard at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Elementary School and started swinging a curtain rod at a group of kindergarten children, striking Kingsley Corson.
The school immediately went into lockdown, and staff members (as well as a Good Samaritan) quickly detained the accused, who police say is living with a cognitive impairment.
He’s now facing several charges including: aggravated assault, and assault with a weapon.
Kingsley was treated in hospital and was back at school yesterday, wearing his Superman shirt.
