Elementary teachers across the province will be holding TWO strikes next week.
The ETFO has has given the required five-day notice for Toronto, York Region and Ottawa-Carleton school boards in anticipation of a one-day strike on Monday.
It has also notified members of a second, day-long strike that will take place next Tuesday—affecting Superior Greenstone, Renfrew, Grand Erie, and Trillium Lakelands school boards.
Catholic teachers and some secondary school teachers are also walking off job that day.
The Simcoe County School board will be not be affected on Monday, but on Tuesday all SCDSB secondary schools and adult learning centres will be closed to students
All Grade 7 and 8 students at Elmvale District High School and Stayner Collegiate Institute will still report to school for classes as usual.
Please note that all SCDSB elementary schools will remain open to students on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
