Efforts are underway to address the shortage of health care providers in Wasaga Beach.
The South Georgian Bay Community Health Centre and the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital will be providing one-time funding to hire a Nurse Practitioner for a three month period.
The timeframe is from January 14 through to March 31.
The Nurse Practitioner will be accepting appointments starting on the 14th at the SGBCHC.
Pre-booked and same day appointments will be available to people who don't have a primary health care provider.
Patients must make an appointment, walk-ins won't be accepted.
