The town of Wasaga Beach is still opting out of allowing pot shops in town.
On Thursday, a council committee voted 6-1 in favour of recommending to council that it continue to “opt out” of allowing legal marijuana retailers to set up shop in town.
Staff would also be asked to monitor the retail store experience in other communities and report back to council.
And the public would be asked its preferences for retail cannabis stores.
Council still needs to approve these committee decisions.
