Beaver Creek Intuition is under lockdown, following the death of an inmate.
Correctional Service Canada says Robert Ryan, who was serving a sentence of just over eight years for robbery, break and enter and assault with a weapon, died while in custody yesterday.
As a result, the Warden has ordered a lockdown and search of the medium- security unit.
Visits have been suspended until the search is completed.
The 29-year-old inmate had been in custody since 2016, but his cause of death has not been released.
