Simcoe County Council has approved a $530-million budget for 2020.
It says the budget focuses on the resources necessary to maintain existing services, while continuing to invest in infrastructure, Transit, Paramedic Services, Roads and Engineering, Long Term Care, Children Services and Social Housing.
Residents will see an overall 2 per cent increase on the County portion of their municipal property taxes in 2020, an impact of approximately $5.58 per $100,000 of property assessed across the region.

-Paramedic Services $58 million
-Social Housing $59 million
-Ontario Works $71 million
-Transportation and Engineering $77 million
-Solid Waste Management $49 million
