New cellphone restrictions go into effect today for students across the province.
However, many school officials say some students may not even notice a difference, since there are already cell phone policies in place.
The new restrictions mean students at Ontario schools will not be allowed to use mobile devices during instructional time, but teachers can still allow cellphone use for educational purposes.
Students with learning difficulties or medical concerns would be exempt from the rules.
