Attack Alumni Notes
The Toronto Maple Leafs of the NHL have signed former Owen Sound Attack captain Garrett Wilson to a one-year contract.
Wilson, a native of Elmvale, scored 93 times for the Attack over a 3 year span.
The Belleville Senators of the American Hockey League have signed defenceman Trent Bourque to a one-year, two-way deal.
Acquired from Sudbury, Bourque played 214 games for the Attack.
The Tampa Bay Lightning of the NHL reached a settlement with Jake Dotchin after the NHL Players’ Association filed a grievance on the defenceman's behalf after his contract was terminated last fall.
Dotchin, a former Owen Sound Attack defender, was waived last last September by the Lightning for a material breach of contract…..reportedly, Dotchin showed up to the team's training camp almost 35 pounds above his playing weight,
For Owen Sound, Dotchin played a year & a half before he was dealt to Barrie.
