Extra OPP will be on patrol this Victoria Day weekend, looking for the big four infractions.
Constable Jamie Stanley says officers will be targeting: aggressive, distracted, and impaired drivers, as well as motorists not wearing seatbelts.
Stanley warns, impaired driving charges can still be laid for boat operators in open waters.
For those exploring the area's waterways this weekend, Stanley also reminds you to wear a personal floatation device (PFD), especially with icy temperatures in Lake Huron and Georgian Bay.
OPP are also warning against bush parties, which can result in public intoxication fines.
If you are visiting your cottage for the first time since Labour Day and notice a possible break-in, you are asked to contact provincial police to investigate.
