In Gravenhurst, rising water levels in Lake Muskoka has prompted the closure of Muskoka Bay Park, Muskoka Beach Park, Lorne Street Beach and portions of the Muskoka Wharf Parking Lot.
The town says water levels within the Kahshe Lake, Black River and Severn River watersheds appear to be stabilizing.
People living in low-lying areas and around waterways are told to be vigilant and prepare ahead of time should an emergency situation develop.
Officials are keeping an eye on the sky due to rain that is forecast for Wednesday into Thursday.
Sandbag locations:
• Cowbell Lane (at the end of lane);
• Severn River Road East (at cul-de-sac at Hwy 11) ;
• Graham Road (at end of road);
• Sunshine Court (at end of court);
• Municipal Public Works Yard located at 1054 Crawford Road.
