The town of Bracebridge is under a state of emergency over continuing rising water levels.
The mayor, Graydon Smith, made the declaration on Tuesday.
A number of roads in the area have been flooded and washed out and those who live near low-lying areas are being advised to take precautionary measures as water levels continue to rise.
Town officials say water volumes have reached beyond the levels reached in 2013, when a state of emergency was previously declared.
Here in Simcoe County, emergency management officials with the county advising Severn, Ramara, Tiny and Tay residents, specifically around the Severn and Black Rivers, including Sparrow Lake and Lake St. John to use caution around watwer as levels and flows increase, and to supervise children and pets.
