Springwater Township has released a few more details about the weekend fire at the former Splash Canyon Water Park site.
Just after 10 P.M. on Saturday (March 30), Springwater Fire and Emergency Services responded to the reported structure fire on Nursery Road.
A total of 25 firefighters from Midhurst Station Two and Minesing Station Three responded along with tankers from Hillsdale Station Four and Elmvale Station Five.
Deputy Fire Chief, Jeff French, says an abandoned building on the property was fully involved and it took 30 minutes to bring the fire under control. No one was hurt.
The fire is considered suspicious and OPP are now investigating. The Office of the Fire Marshal has also been notified.
