A 32-year-old Oro Medonte man has been flown by Air Ornge to a Toronto area hospital following a crash in Orillia today.
OPP are currently investigating a serious collision which occurred on Highway 12 at West Street South.
Shortly after 3 am a vehicle travelling eastbound on Highway 12 turned onto West Street where it came into contact with a dump truck.
Information received at the scene revealed there may have been a second person in the vehicle that fled prior to police arrival. Central Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Central Region Canine were called in attempts to locate the second person, who wasn't found
As a result of the collision a 32 year old Oro-Medonte man was transported to a Toronto area hospital via Air ORNGE in serious condition.
The investigation continues.
