Damage is pegged at $350,000 in a fire that gutted a cottage in Gravenhurst Monday night.
The fire department says the lone occupant of the cottage on Peninsula Road called 9-1–1 after discovering a fire in the walls and attic of the single storey structure.
By the time firefighters got to the scene, flames were shooting through the roof.
A partial roof collapse and propane tanks adjacent to the cottage hampered efforts to bring the fire under control.
Crews were on scene for several hours.
The fire is not considered suspicious, but no cause has been determined.
