Orillia's Building Hope campaign is building momentum.
The new Lighthouse Community Services Hub and supportive housing complex has $11 million secured of the 14 million needed to pay for the project.
Campaign manager Lynne Thomas is confident the community will come up with the three million still needed.
She says says two buildings will be erected.
One will be a comunity services hub with short term shelter beds and housing the services the Lighthouse provides now.
The second building will provide longer term supportive housing.
Construction will start this spring on the Queen Street site, with the supportive housing units expected to be ready in 18 months while a further six months will be needed to complete the community services hub.
