OPP in Orillia have sounded the all clear following a heavy police presence near James Street East and Atherley Road.
Police were called around one this morning and at that time urged area residents to ensure their doors were locked and to remain inside their homes.
All the OPP will say is the situation is safe and officers continue to investigate, with an update to follow.
In a media release, police said if people locate suspicious items near their homes, don't touch it and call Orillia OPP.
