It may not look like it right now, but one sure sign that spring is on the way is that we are heading into daylight savings time.
Sunday morning at 2, clocks in North America will move one hour ahead.
In Canada, the exception is in Saskatchewan where it is standard time all year round.
We gain more daylight in the evening but lose an hour of sleep in the process.
Fire departments are using this time of the year to ask homeowners to check the batteries in their smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.
We go back to standard time on November 3rd.
