Barrie Police have recovered a stolen SUV and charged a 27 year old male from LaSalle, ON with a number of offences after he fled from police.
The man’s charges include ones for dangerous driving, flight from police, breach of probation and possession of a controlled substance.
It happened Monday while police were investigating reports of a possibly impaired driver. The chase started in Innisfil just before 1 am – they stopped him on Grove Street East in Barrie.
The suspect was apprehended with the help of a canine unit after fleeing on foot.
The man was to have made a court appearance to answer to the charge on Monday.
