The Orillia 2020 Ontario Winter Games is exactly one year away.
A “One Year Out” celebration was held today at Rotary Place, which was an opportunity for stakeholders to meet the Games Organizing Committee and launch the volunteer recruitment campaign and event website.
The Orillia 2018 Ontario Winter Games generated $4.2 million in economic impact.
OWG 2020 will take place February 27 to March 1, with an estimated 3,500 athletes who will compete in 27 sports.
For volunteers, there is a new online system that will give them the flexibility to select their own schedules based on interest and availability.
