An Oro-Medonte hockey dad has made his four year old son a viral sensation after he posted a microphone on Mason during a practice.
Jeremy Rupke wanted to know what his son was saying to the coach and friends.
The video has over 1.5 million views on Rupke's YouTube channel where he is known as “Coach Jeremy.”
Rupke says the comments are positive and have brought a lot of joy to people, adding he wants to spread the love of hockey with his videos.
But it was also a learning experience.
Rupke says he did not expect as much self talk by Mason, when he would say, “It's okay, one, two, I am doing it.”
He says the comments melted his heart when he heard it because his son is so proud of himself and encouraging himself.
When Mason sprawls on the ice and says, “I'm going to take a nap,” Rupke says his son's legs are tired.
He can also be heard asking his father if they are going to “Badonald's.” (McDonalds).
Rupke says the video can give some insight to parenting and relate what their kids are going through.
The video was filmed earlier this month.
