January is going out like a lion in the Orillia-area.
Snow squalls that were forecast to shift south out of Muskoka last evening did just that.
Squalls were stationary for most of the night between Wasaga Beach, Midland and the Orillia area, with strong winds helping to pile drifts and cause zero visibility at times on local roads.
Highway 11 northbound was closed at Soules Road near Webers for several hours this morning following a multi vehicle crash involving several tractor trailers.
Another 10-20 cm of snow is possible for the Orillia-area until things begin to settle down overnight.
Wind chill values will hover around -30.
A dramatic warm up is in store, with a high of plus 6 and chance of rain by Monday.
