Barrie Police are searching for a man who stuffed stolen meat and non-prescription medication into a backpack and left a grocery store on Wellington Street West without paying.
It happened Sunday around 2:45 pm
A loss prevention officer tried to stop the man but he resisted and ran across the parking lot, leaving the backpack containing the stolen items.
The suspect is described as: white, between 35-40 years old, 5'10″ -5'11″, wearing blue jeans, long black winter jacket a green and white Saskatchewan Roughriders style ball cap. He also had goatee and short brown hair.
Anyone with information on this theft is asked to call police.
