Barrie Police are appealing to the public for assistance after a theft was reported in the City.
On Tuesday, January 15 at 7:24 p.m., police responded to a grocery store on Yonge Street after a man selected some meat and beer and then attempted to leave without paying.
When approached by Loss Prevention Officers (LPO) outside the store and placed under arrest, the male surrendered the cart containing the stolen items and ran across the parking lot.
The suspect is described as male white, 40 years of age and was wearing a black toque, black jacket, black pants and a red sweater underneath the jacket.
