Oro Medonte Fire Officials are telling people to stay off Lake Simcoe for the time being because the ice is not safe.
This morning several anglers had to be rescued when the ice they were on broke away and started to drift.
The Oro Medonte Fire Department had to use a jet boat to rescue them.
In the end, the rescue was successful and no one was hurt.
The rescue occurred off Line 10.
