The Town of Gravenhurst has said yes to retail cannabis stores.
The decision was made by councillors at a meeting held this week (Jan 15).
But the municipality is hamstrung by the rules like other Muskoka municipalities that have opted-in for retail sales.
Due to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission stipulation of limiting the first wave license lottery to municipalities with populations of 50,000 and over.
After the first 25 pot retail stores open that rule could be lifted.
