A 54-year-old Bradford man is charged after debit and credit cards in a lost wallet were used to make purchases at a number of businesses.
On Friday, January 11th around 12:30 p.m., South Simcoe Police were called by a 65-year-old Bradford man who reported he had lost his wallet earlier that morning and had since discovered debit and credit card transactions on his bank account.
Police obtained a description of a suspect and on January 12, 2019, an officer on patrol spotted a man matching it.
The man was arrested and charged with Theft Under $5,000, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Use Credit Card and three counts of Fraud Under $5,000.
The accused was released with a future court date.
