Orillia Transit will be able to get you to your party and home again for free on New Year's Eve. Transit rides will be free from 7:45 p.m until 1:45 a.m. The last departure from downtown will be at 1:15 a.m. Local Tim Hortons restaurants are covering the cost of the rides.
Residents can also get a head start on ringing in 2019 at Rotary Place.There is a free New Year's Eve bash 5 until 8:30 p.m., featuring an open skate, rock wall climbing, arcade games, crafts and a bouncy castle. The free event will also include a drop of 2,000 balloons. Additional parking will be available at Costco, with a shuttle bus taking people to Rotary Place.
