Huronia West OPP were contacted about a suspicious vehicle in the area of Black Creek Trail, north of Snow Valley Road in Springwater Township.
This was around six on Tuesday morning.
Police were told the vehicle was running and a person was sleeping in the driver's seat.
After chatting with him, officers determined he was under the influence of alcohol.
Charges against the 48 year old from Barrie include impaired driving and breach of probation.
