The Knights built a 3-0 lead and then held on in the final 5 minutes to post the 1 goal victory and grab sole possession of 5th place in the North Division
Emil Lovig Larsen opened the scoring late in the first period when his shot from the right point found the back of the net.
The Knights padded their lead to a 3 goal cushion in the 2nd period as Tyler Arsenault on a powerful rush & shot scored to make it 2-0 early in the period.
Late in the 2nd, Tyson Gudaitis whacked home a power play set up to give the Knights a 3-0 lead.
The lead held until the 14 minute mark of the 3rd when the Civics rallied with 2 late goals
Arvid Sjogren spoiled Brady Lee Klassens' shutout bid by slamming a loose puck into the Meaford net.
New Tecumseth followed just over 3 minutes later when Mikhail Kornilov went the length of the ice and made it a 1 goal game.
The Knights, aided by a late penalty to the Civics managed to hang on and hit their Christmas Break with 33 points, good for sole possession of 5th place in the league, 2 points up on New Tecumseth and 1 point back of Almaguin for 4th.
The next action for the Knights is January 10th when they host South Muskoka at the Meaford & St Vincent Community Centre.
New Tecumseth also returns to action January 10th when they entertain the Ville Marie Pirates
