A gift from the military is helping improve the experience for military patients at Orillia’s Soldiers Memorial Hospital.
The Army Navy and Airforce Veterans In Canada-Unit 400 have donated $3,000 to improve patient identification for patients and family members of those who have served in the military.
These patients will now benefit from weekly social visits by ANAF and Royal Canadian Legion volunteers as well as receive information on community Veteran service clubs and related resources.
The donation of $3,000 is part of a $10,000 pledge made by Unit 400 towards pastoral and spiritual care at the Hospital. This gift brings the group’s total lifetime donation amount to over $18,000.
