Orillia OPP is sending a shout out to members of the public who donated new and gently used gloves in support of the Lighthouse Soup Kitchen and Shelter.
Over 900 gloves were donated, as well as hats and scarves, and the campaign netted over $1,600 in cash donations.
The Lighthouse provides hundreds of meals weekly to men, women and children, and provides emergency beds for men who are experiencing homelessness.
Orillia OPP also thanks several partners who accepted gloves on behalf of the detachment (Kahuna Surfshop, Sarahannedipity, Verona Coffee Co and Walmart Supercentre).
