Barrie Police are investigating after a trail of dog treats were found in a local park.
Police say yesterday around 1pm they went to Patterson Park on Moon Drive after somebody found a scattered trail of dog treats along the east part of the park.
When the trail was followed, it led to a larger pile of dog food and more dog treats.
Police have consulted with the OSPCA and photographed and seized the food. The OSPCA is now investigating and they will determine if the food was harmful in any way.
Police are reminding dog owners to be mindful about such incidents and to call them if they see anything suspicious.
