Barrie Police are seeking tips after a male was seriously injured overnight in that city.
Last night(MON) around 9:30 p.m., a male was walking along the sidewalk on the south side of Cundles Road West, east of Sunnidale Road, when a small green coloured car approached.
The motor vehicle slowed, activated its four-way flashers, and stopped opposite the male.
Thinking the occupants needed some type of assistance, the male turned his head and as he did so, was shot in the right eye by what is believed to have been a small calibre pellet-type gun.
The vehicle drove off eastbound on Cundles Road West towards the area of either Coulter or Bayfield Streets.
That’s when the victim realized he had been injured.
After dialling 911, he was taken to hospital where he is still being treated for a potentially life-altering injury.
Police are trying to locate the motor vehicle, which is described as a light green coloured, 2-door compact style passenger car that may be a Honda or Toyota.
There are no descriptions of the suspects.
