Orillia’s downtown is set to glow with Christmas spirit when the Christmas light display illuminates the downtown core during the annual Children's Candlelight Parade Nov. 23.
That's when over 80,000 twinkling lights and 34 warm light spheres will line Downtown Orillia streets lighting the night for all to see.
Families can gather in the parking lot of the Royal Canadian Legion at 6:30 p.m. that day to participate in the parade and official tree lighting.
Children 12 and under will receive a battery-operated candle to carry as they walk up Mississaga Street to the Opera House, where at 7 p.m., the switch will be thrown on the tree, with its over 16,000 lights.
