Orillia OPP are reminding drivers to stop for school buses while their lights are flashing.
When a bus is stopped with its lights flashing you have to stop at a safe distance away from the bus and not move until the red lights have stopped flashing.
If you don’t, you face a heavy fine and possible jail time.
If you are a vehicle owner and not driving, but the car you own passes a stopped bus with its lights flashing you can also be charged.
