An Angus man is facing numerous charges after a car belonging to his friend entered a ditch and slammed into a tree on the 5th Line of Essa Township.
This happened south of the 20th Side Road near Baxter around 9:30 last night.
Nottawasaga OPP say the driver fled the scene, leaving behind his seriously injured male passenger.
That passenger, a 33 year old from Angus, suffered lifealtering injuries and was taken to a local hospital then transported by air ambulance to Toronto hospital.
Police eventually located the 33 year old driver.
Charges against him include impaired driving causing bodily harm and dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
