A Gravenhurst landlord is charged with failing to provide working smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.
Gravenhurst Fire Department were investigating a complaint at an apartment complex.
Fire prevention officers discovered an area of the building that was non-compliant.
The landlord was issued two tickets totalling $720.
In a statement, Fire Chief Larry Brassard says landlords have a responsibility to ensure their properties are safe.
He adds the tickets are expensive compared to the cost of installing the two alarms.
