Another fraudulent scam, this time by way of mail delivery.
Barrie Police have received information about official looking and partially completed bank and Canada Revenue Agency documents that have been arriving by mail asking the receiver to complete the paperwork by filling in the missing information and then return it in the envelope provided.
Police say never provide personal information through documents that arrive in the mail, no matter how official looking that they may appear.
A person that received the documents contacted the identified bank and was told it was not only a fraud, but a likely attempt at identity theft.
