An Orillia man is facing charges in an apparent hit and run over the Thanksgiving weekend.
Orillia OPP were called about a head-on collision on the Highway 12 by-pass between Atherley Road and Forest Avenue around 11:30 Sunday night.
Orillia Fire and Simcoe County EMS were at the scene when police arrived.
Officers were informed that one of the vehicles involved in the collision fled the scene.
A brief investigation led to the arrest of a 42-year-old man.
Charges include impaired driving, dangerous driving, failing to remain, and driving while under suspension.
The accused was released on a promise to appear in an Orillia court on October 30th.
Police are still investigating.
